Ian Riggs

Ian has recently been appointed as national head of Corporate. His particular expertise is private corporate finance work, including mergers and acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and corporate governance matters.

Ian joined Hill Dickinson in May 2012 as a partner in the firm’s Manchester corporate team. He has particular expertise in corporate transactional work and corporate reorganisations and acts for multinational companies, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and financial institutions.

He has acted for private equity houses and also has experience in group reorganisations and in acting on partnership and LLP matters.

Ian was educated at Bury Grammar School and then read law at Downing College (BA Hons) before completing his LPC at Nottingham Law School. Ian became national head of Corporate in 2021.
