Melina Kanaki has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Melina started their career as a Junior Direct Marketing Executive at Care Direct in 1997, where they monitored direct marketing activities and conducted reporting. Melina then worked as a Human Resources Consultant at ICAP from 1998 to 1999, responsible for recruiting for major clients and participating in the design of the internal performance appraisal system.
From 1999 to 2000, they served as a Branch Manager at MANPOWER TEAM, where they handled business development, recruitment, and coordination of reporting. Melina also provided total management solutions for international clients and undertook personnel training.
Melina joined Grant Thornton Greece as a Human Resources Manager from 2001 to 2002. In this role, they developed and implemented HR strategies aligned with the business strategy, managed the recruitment process, and participated in business process re-engineering projects.
During the same period, they also worked at DIADIKASIA Management Consultants as a Human Resources Manager, leading the HR department and implementing employee-oriented practices. Melina designed and implemented HR policies and handled recruitment, training, and career planning activities.
In 2003, Melina joined the CSC International - Athens 2004 Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games as a Sector Project Manager - Human Resources. Melina was responsible for the recruitment process, including the selection and retention of human resources for the Athens 2004 Spectator Services Functional Area.
Melina's most recent position is with Hill International, Inc., where they have held multiple roles. Melina started as an Executive Director of Human Resources in 2004 and is currently serving as the Vice President of Human Resources (EMEA & Asia Pacific) since October 2018. Hill International is a global construction management firm that provides various services to clients involved in major construction projects worldwide.
Melina Kanaki completed their undergraduate education at The American College of Greece from 1989 to 1993, earning a degree in Sociology. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Stirling from 1994 to 1995, studying Industrial Relations.
