Kieran Higgins

Kieran Higgins has a diverse work experience in the maritime industry. Kieran started their career in 2008 as a Deck Cadet with Trinity House, where they gained experience on various types of vessels. Kieran then worked as a 2nd Officer with Arklow Shipping AS, where they were responsible for passage planning, crew training, and cargo operations. Kieran also had a temporary role as a 2nd Officer with P&O Maritime.

In 2011, Kieran joined Seabourn Cruise Line as a 3rd Officer and later became a 2nd Officer. In these roles, they were designated as the GMDSS Officer and was responsible for maintaining a safe navigational watch at sea and in port.

Later, Kieran pursued higher studies at South Shields Marine School, earning an HND in Nautical Science from 2018 to 2019. Additionally, at some point during their education, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nautical Science at the National Maritime College of Ireland, but the specific years for this program were not provided.
