Tara Raab

Tara Raab has over 25 years of experience in various roles within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. Their most recent position is as the Vice President of Quality at HilleVax, a role they have held since December 2021. Prior to this, Tara served as the Head of Product Quality Leadership at Atara Biotherapeutics from July 2018 to December 2021, and as the Head of QA/QC from May 2017 to July 2018.

Before joining Atara Biotherapeutics, Tara worked at Seqirus as the Senior Director of Global Quality Systems from March 2016 to May 2017. In this role, they led the development and implementation of a consolidated quality manual and systems across all Seqirus sites and functions.

Tara's experience also includes roles at Novartis Vaccines, where they served as the Head of Development QA from January 2015 to February 2016, the Development QA Operations Head from November 2011 to December 2014, the Head of Sterility Assurance Services from November 2009 to October 2011, and the Associate Director of QC from April 2008 to November 2009. At Novartis Vaccines, they were responsible for overseeing quality standards, cGMP compliance, and the manufacturing and testing of investigational medicinal products.

Earlier in their career, Tara worked at Biogen Idec, where they held positions as the Senior Manager of Microbiology from March 2005 to March 2008, the Senior Supervisor of Microbiology from March 2002 to March 2005, and as a QC Associate II from September 1998 to March 2002. In these roles, they were involved in the testing and release of commercial and late-stage clinical products, as well as the design and implementation of water monitoring programs.

Tara began their career as a Microbiologist at Novo Nordisk from October 1995 to September 1998.

Tara Raab obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Microbiology and Genetics from North Carolina State University, where they attended from 1991 to 1993. There is no information available about their education beyond that. Tara also earned a certification in Board Leadership Boot Camp from Executive Service Corps of the Triangle (ESC) in January 2023.
