Ogunroti Ayibiowu

Governor at Hillfield Strathallan College

Dr. Ogunroti (Roti) Ayibiowu is a Family Physician with a practice in Hamilton, Ontario. He graduated from Medical School in Nigeria in 1991 and he did his postgraduate training in South Africa, where he practiced for 7 years. From there, he practiced in Australia for a brief period before proceeding to Newfoundland. After 5 years there he moved to Hamilton and has been serving there for over 14 years and is a current member of the Hamilton Family Health Team.

Dr. Ayibiowu has always been a firm believer in giving back and serving in underserved communities. That is why he’s spent most of his career working in places where help is greatly needed such as the inner township of Soweto. He’s passionate in mentoring the next generation in Nigeria and providing opportunities for higher education. He does this by sponsoring young adults and helping them establish businesses, sending students to university, and providing resources to underfunded orphanages.

In Canada, he and his wife Bisi Ayibiowu, who is a member of the Board of Oakville Christian School, have continued their mentorship with a program they created called Enoch Walk. Enoch Walk is an organization that focuses on family by mentoring young couples and training adults in finances and relationships. Roti also uses his experience to advise new immigrants on how to settle into foregin countries through this program.

Roti and his wife live in Oakville and have three daughters, one of which graduated with the class of 2021 at HSC and another who is a current Grade 12 student.

Dr. Ayibiowu enjoys travelling with his family, loves watching soccer and listening to music. He is the occasional “DJ” in his spare time.

Roti serves on the Risk Management Committee.
