Bhavna Narula

Bhavna Narula has a diverse work experience in the education field. Bhavna is currently serving as the Director of Student Services at Hillsborough City School District since 2021. Prior to this, they were the Principal at Los Altos School District from 2015 to 2021. Bhavna also worked as the Coordinator for Literacy, Intervention, and English Learner Services at Milpitas Unified School District in 2014-2015.

Bhavna Narula has held various leadership positions in the education field. From 2012 to 2014, they worked as an Assistant Principal at Palo Alto Unified School District, where they focused on designing data and evidence-based programs for student support and engagement. Bhavna also founded an RTI leadership team, led English Learner and Special Education programs, and implemented successful data-driven interventions for struggling learners.

Bhavna further pursued their education and earned a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in the Social Psychology of Education from Jawaharlal Nehru University in India from 1996 to 1997. Moving forward, they attended San Jose State University from 2005 to 2007, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Counselor Education with a focus on Counseling and Student Personnel, accompanied by a PPS credential.

Currently, Bhavna Narula is pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in Educational Leadership at East Carolina University, which they are expected to complete from 2022 to 2025.
