Kara Carwell

Kara Carwell has a diverse work experience in the education and healthcare sectors. Kara served as the Special Education Director at the Hillsdale County Intermediate School District since July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a Yoga Teacher, specializing in mindfulness, starting from May 2019. From April 2016 to July 2020, Kara worked as a Special Education Consultant/School Psychologist at EBS Healthcare. Before that, they held the position of Director of Clinical Services and Program Development at the EBS Children's Research Institute from April 2015 to July 2020.

Kara Carwell has a Masters/Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago. Kara also holds a Master's of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University, which they obtained between 2011 and 2013.

Earlier in their education, Kara earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Michigan State University, completing their studies from 2001 to 2005.

Kara also has additional certifications, including Certified Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and School Psychologist through the Department for Education (PA). Kara is also a Director of Special Education, and has expertise in School Administration and Leadership.
