Chad Michael Cox has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Chad Michael began their career in 1997 as a Branch Manager at W.W. Grainger, where they stayed until 2008. Chad Michael then moved on to work as an Instructor at Lutheran Services of Iowa from October 2010 to September 2011, where they taught an Intensive Work Readiness Course for refugees. In 2006, Cox founded Yellow Suit Publishing, a small independent publishing company, where they served as the President & CEO. Chad Michael ventured into the cleaning industry in 2008, becoming a Regional Operations Director at Hillyard. Currently, Cox is a Contract (Freelance) Writer, contributing to projects such as print and web copy, editing, and research for various companies and organizations, including the University of Iowa: Iowa Testing Programs.

Chad Michael Cox attended Emerson College from 2004 to 2006, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Writing, Literature, and Publishing.
