Paula V.

Paula V. has extensive experience in linguistics and translation, currently serving as a Linguist at Appen since March 2019, where responsibilities include delivering semantic parsing of English and Spanish datasets to optimize NLP systems. Additionally, Paula has worked as a Translator for the State of California since April 2018, managing language project execution for school districts and logistics for multiple locales. Other roles include Translating for Hilmar Unified School District and serving as a Spanish Content Specialist as an Independent Contractor. Previous teaching positions in English and French were held at The English School and Gimnasio Moderno. Paula holds a Bachelor’s degree in Modern Languages from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, obtained in 2014.
