Fernanda Bernardo has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Fernanda most recently worked as a Sales Development Representative at HiMama. Prior to that, they served as a Legal Assistant at Edelmann and Company Law Offices. Fernanda also gained experience in the hospitality industry, working as a Server/Manager at Freehouse Collective. Fernanda held positions of increasing responsibility at the Canadian Centre for Responsibility to Protect (CCR2P), starting as an Associate and later becoming Co-Director of the R2P Live Division. Fernanda also served as a CanStudyUS Fellow at the Ryerson Leadership Lab. In addition, they worked as a Project Assistant at the British Columbia Ministry of Transportation, a Project/Policy Analyst at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority, and a Data Intern at DefendDefenders.
Fernanda Bernardo pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Victoria from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their undergraduate degree, they obtained several certifications, including the Women in Tech Sales Certificate from Women in Tech Sales (WITS) in October 2022. Fernanda also completed the Gender Based Analysis + (GBA+) certification from the Government of British Columbia in January 2020, and the Core ICS Mental Health certification from San'yas Indigenous Cultural Safety Training in November 2019.
