Tomiwa Aina

Tomiwa Aina has a diverse range of work experience in various roles. Tomiwa started their career in the architectural field as a Junior Project Coordinator at Aina & Co. Architectural firm in 2010. Tomiwa assisted project architects with graphic design tasks and participated in project team meetings.

In 2012, Tomiwa joined Soft Alliance & Resources Limited as a Junior/Associate Programmer through a summer internship program. Tomiwa gained knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and participated in testing and assisting seasoned programmers in web-based application development.

In 2016, Tomiwa worked as a Graphic Designer/Videographer at Ottawa Community Housing Corporation (OCH) for three months. Their responsibilities included developing visual concepts and assets such as logos, signs, advertisements, brochures, and maps. Tomiwa also ensured consistent branding and helped develop new branding standards accessible to residents of different demographics.

From 2017 to 2018, Tomiwa worked as a Junior Graphic Designer at Veem, a Fintech 50 start-up in Canada. Tomiwa was a part of the marketing team and created graphic assets, web pages, videos, and motion graphics for inbound marketing. Tomiwa also redesigned pieces based on feedback and A/B testing.

In 2020, Tomiwa joined Know Your Farmhands, a start-up, as a Co-founder and Lead Product Designer. Tomiwa focused on feature ideation and iterations, UI design, and user research. The company develops apps for local farmers, providing them with an online farmers market, technique sharing, education, and farmworker background checks. Tomiwa has been working remotely from Canada.

Most recently, in 2021, Tomiwa started working at HiMama as a Product Designer, although specific details about this role were not provided.

Tomiwa Aina completed a Bachelor's Degree in Interactive Media and Design from Carleton University from 2013 to 2017. In 2018, they pursued a Master's degree in Design Innovation Management from Loughborough University London, which concluded in 2019.
