Richard Heaton

Mr. Heaton is Senior Vice President, Legal and is a member of the firm’s Audit & Compliance Committee. Since joining the firm in 2013, he has built the firm’s Legal Department that delivers cost-effective legal solutions. He has guided his team to focus on a business approach to transactions and to improve processes to deliver quality services in a cost-efficient manner. Prior to joining Hines, he worked in law firms providing services to real estate clients, and as Assistant General Counsel at a retail developer.

Heaton earned his BA in Language Interpretation and Translation from Brigham Young University and his JD from New York University School of Law.
