Ian Oakley Smith

Ian Oakley Smith is a seasoned design professional with extensive experience in product design and user experience across prominent companies in the tech industry. Currently serving as the Director of Product Design - Engagement at Hinge Health since April 2023, Ian previously held key roles such as VP of Design at NEX Team Inc., where the focus was on motion entertainment, and UX Design Manager for Google Identity, overseeing design for over 1 billion user accounts. Notable positions also include leadership roles at Pinterest, Apple Inc., and Yahoo! Inc., where Ian contributed to significant projects like Buyable Pins and the launch of the Apple Store app. Ian holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts from Wesleyan University, with a background in Studio Art and African American Studies.
