Joann Bellis

Joann Bellis serves as the Director of Fine and Performing Arts at Hingham Public Schools since July 2011, where responsibilities include managing the theater, visual art, and music programs, overseeing curriculum development, and facilitating professional development for staff. Previously, Joann held the position of K-5 Music Districtwide Coordinator and served as an Elementary and Middle School Band Director, teaching a large number of students across multiple schools. Additional experience includes work at the Boston Museum of Science, focused on engaging young learners in science, and a role as a student teacher in general music and band. Joann's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Boston University, a Master of Music Education from Gordon College, and an MBA from Boston University.
