Meg Douglas Howie

Meg Douglas Howie is an accomplished design professional with extensive experience in service design, currently serving as the Lead Service Designer at Hippo since September 2025. Previously, Meg held the position of Principal Service Designer at Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand and Human Centred Design Lead at Te Pūkenga. At Snook, Meg contributed both as a Principal and Senior Service Designer, focusing on initiatives that promote human and planetary thriving. Meg's career includes leadership roles at the Government Digital Service, where strategic direction for the UK Government's digital identity programme was established, and the Department of Internal Affairs in both New Zealand and UX design capacities. Meg co-founded Next Level Connections, a mentoring service for women, and has a rich educational background with Master's and Bachelor's degrees from Massey University and additional studies at San Francisco State University.
