Ilya S.

Ilya S. has a strong background in the insurance industry. They started their career at Liberty Mutual, where they worked as a Portfolio Analyst from March 2005 to June 2006, and later as a Product Analyst from June 2006 to July 2007. They then joined ACE Private Risk Services as an Assistant Vice President and Portfolio Manager in August 2007, where they stayed until January 2016. From January 2016 to October 2019, Ilya worked at Chubb as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager. They then moved to Westchester, a Chubb Company, in October 2019 and served as a Senior Vice President of Underwriting until May 2021. Currently, Ilya holds the position of Vice President of Underwriting & Portfolio Management at Hippo Insurance since May 2021.

Ilya S. completed a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Economics and Mathematics from Tyumen State Oil and Gas University in the years 1998 to 2001. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Finance at the University of Pittsburgh from 2002 to 2004. Later, Ilya attended NYU Stern School of Business from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a focus on Economics and Data Analytics.

In terms of additional certifications, Ilya obtained the following: Associate in Personal Lines (API) from AICPCU in July 2009, Certified Catastrophe Risk Analyst (CCRA) from RMS in May 2009, Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) from AICPCU in July 2008, and Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from AICPCU in April 2008.
