Michael Stienstra has a strong background in the insurance industry, with experience in leading teams of actuaries to develop pricing strategies for various books of business. Currently serving as the Chief Insurance Officer and Chief Actuary at Hippo Insurance, Michael oversees various aspects of the company's home insurance program. Prior to this, Michael held positions at Ace Insurance, QBE North America, Munich Reinsurance America, Inc., American Family Insurance, and Chubb, where Michael demonstrated expertise in pricing, profitability, and team leadership.
