Tracy Bowden

Tracy Bowden is the current General Counsel & Head of Compliance at Hippo Insurance. Tracy has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry and has represented insurance and reinsurance companies and managing general agencies/program administrators, brokers/retail agencies, third party administrators, and outsourced service providers. Tracy specializes in corporate contracts and contract management, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, program and product development, regulatory compliance, HR administration, finance, and litigation. Prior to their current position, Tracy served as Managing Director of a portfolio of managing general agents that wrote more than $400M in annual gross written premiums and was the U.S. General Counsel, Corporate Secretary, and Chief Compliance Officer for a program insurance carrier.

Tracy Bowden graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting. Tracy then attended law school at The University of Texas at Austin, obtaining their Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

They are on a team with Stewart Ellis - CFO, Mike Stienstra - Chief Actuary, and Daniel Blanaru - Chief Growth Officer. Tracy Bowden reports to Richard L. McCathron, President & CEO.
