Debajyoti (Debo) Datta is a co-founder and researcher at Hippocratic AI since May 2023, with a strong background in machine learning and natural language processing. Previous experience includes serving as an Applied Scientist at Amazon Web Services, where work focused on few-shot learning for information extraction tasks, and a Machine Learning Fellow at Intuition Machines, Inc., emphasizing semantic understanding of language and images. At Crossing Minds, Debajyoti worked as a Research Engineer on large unsupervised clustering problems, while at x.ai, a Machine Learning Engineer role involved enhancing automated meeting scheduling. Academic contributions include positions as a Visiting Research Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University and Télécom ParisTech, along with a role at Google during the Summer of Code. Debajyoti holds a PhD in Machine Learning in Healthcare and Natural Language Processing from the University of Virginia, along with a Master’s Degree in Systems Engineering focused on Machine Learning and a Bachelor's degree from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.
