Sohail Ashraf

Sohail Ashraf has a diverse work experience in the field of data operations, platform technical lead, and database administration. Sohail started their career as a Database Developer & Administrator at MTBC in 2010, where they were responsible for configuring database environments and providing administration support. Sohail then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at NetSol Technologies Inc. from 2012 to 2015, where they played a key role in database environment configuration, administration support, and backup and recovery. Sohail then joined Teradata in 2015 as a DBA & ETL Operations Consultant for both Volvo Cars and A1 Telekom Austria. In this role, they managed ETL operations, provided database administration support, and reported service status. In 2018, Sohail became a DBA & ETL Operations Lead at Teradata for Volvo Cars, where they further improved their skills in ETL operations management and collaborated with the Service Delivery Manager to provide streamlined services to customers. Sohail also prepared maintenance plans during this time. Sohail then transitioned to the role of Cloud Migration Technical Lead at Teradata in 2020, where they led the cloud migration efforts for Volvo Cars. Currently, they are working at HiQ as a Data Platform & Cloud Technical Lead for Volvo Cars.

Sohail Ashraf completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering from the COMSATS Institute of Information and Technology, spanning from 2004 to 2009. Sohail also holds various certifications, including "Consulting Skills - Essentials Level" from Teradata, "Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals" from Microsoft, "Vantage Training - Essentials Level" from Teradata, "ITIL® Foundation Certification" from PeopleCert, "Teradata Vantage Certified Associate" from Teradata, "Teradata 14 SQL" from Teradata, "Teradata 14 Certified Professional" from Teradata, and "Vantage Certified Administrator" from Teradata.
