Sean Lynch is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in publications and communications. Currently serving as the Publications and Social Media Officer at the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) since October 2016, Sean previously held the role of Parliamentary Assistant at the Oireachtas from July 2014 to April 2016 and served as a Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister for Trade and Development at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland from December 2011 to July 2014. An accomplished editor, Sean managed a team at H.W. Wilson Company where responsibilities included overseeing the production of educational abstracts and introducing cost-effective outsourcing strategies. Sean holds a Master of Science in Opto-electronics and Optical Information Processing from Queen's University Belfast and a Diploma in Economics from The Open University, complemented by a Bachelor of Science (Honors) in Physics from Queen's University Belfast.

The Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) is an independent statutory authority established to promote safety and quality in the provision of health and social care services for the benefit of the health and welfare of the public. Our mandate to date extends across a wide range of public, private and voluntary sector services.
