Brent Malenius

Brent Malenius has extensive work experience in software engineering and technical management roles. Brent is currently the Senior Director of Engineering - Infrastructure at HireVue, where they streamlined infrastructure teams and took over vendor management. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Software Engineering at Warner Bros. Discovery, leading a software development team and implementing AWS infrastructure. Brent also held the position of Senior Manager of Software Engineering at WarnerMedia, driving the migration to AWS and reducing cloud costs. Before that, they were the Manager of Software Engineering at Turner, overseeing feature development for March Madness projects. Earlier in their career, they worked at Sedgwick Claims Management Services as an Applications Development Manager, and at Wells Manufacturing Company as a Programmer/Analyst. Brent's experience includes managing teams, implementing infrastructure, optimizing cloud costs, and developing software applications.

Brent Malenius holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Operations Management from Northern Illinois University. Additionally, they have pursued studies in Information Technology at McHenry County College. Moreover, Brent has obtained various certifications, including AWS Certified Developer - Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate, Certified Scrum Master, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, and Amazon Web Services SysOps Administrator - Associate. Brent has also completed several online courses on topics such as diversity training, leadership visibility, emotional intelligence, organization design, DevOps, Docker, Java, REST APIs, and Python for Non-Programmers.
