Miguel Balbuena-Jaenz

Miguel Balbuena-Jaenz is a dedicated student at Dartmouth College, enrolled since August 2022, with a focus on academic excellence and community engagement. As a Scholar with Thrive Scholars since May 2021, Miguel was selected from over 1,000 high school students nationwide and has participated in a Summer Academy aimed at enhancing college access. Miguel served as an Outreach Associate for the Mexican Coalition for the Empowerment of Youth & Families Inc from April to June 2024, where responsibilities included reaching corporate sponsors and managing grant applications. Previously, as a Scholar with College Match LA from September 2020 to June 2022, Miguel received comprehensive college counseling and participated in extensive prep and exploration activities. Miguel's educational journey includes a High School Diploma from Downtown Magnets High School, complemented by the International Baccalaureate program, demonstrating a commitment to academic achievement and social impact.
