Drake Powell

Drake Powell has a diverse work experience, primarily in animal research and veterinary care. Drake began their career as a Kennel Assistant at the Watauga Humane Society in 2018, where they were responsible for cleaning and maintaining animals. Drake then worked as a Kennel Tech at Pupsi, Inc, where they supervised dog groups and provided general care. In 2019, Drake worked as a Veterinary Assistant at Gentle Care Animal Hospital Group, assisting with procedures and patient data management. Drake also gained experience as a Research Model Husbandry at Charles River Laboratories, where they cared for mice and maintained their environment. Drake then switched to a role as a Study Lead/Research Technician at Burleson Research Technologies, Inc., planning and executing research projects. Currently, they hold the position of Sales Director, first for Remote Sales SE and later for the South East region at Inotiv.

Drake Powell attended North Carolina State University from 2017 to 2020, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. In addition, they obtained several certifications including Create Value Skills from Corporate Visions in May 2022. Prior to that, they obtained certifications in various subjects such as Business Ethics, Finance Foundations, Inventory Management Foundations, Managing Globally, Communicating Across Cultures, Human Resources Foundations, Interpersonal Communication, Leading without Formal Authority, Managing Organizational Change for Managers, Excel for Mac Essential Training (Office 365), Leadership Foundations: Leadership Styles and Models, Strategic Planning Foundations, and Succession Planning from LinkedIn in 2020.
