Tommy Valentine

Tommy Valentine, PhD, serves as the Executive Director of Historic Athens, where collaboration with the Board of Trustees has led to significant organizational improvements, including enhanced board governance, strategic planning, and performance-based budgeting. Prior to this role, Tommy was the Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator at Extra Special People, Inc., managing a network of over 1,100 volunteers. Academic credentials include a PhD in Public Administration and Policy, an M.P.A. in Public Management, and a B.A. in Political Science, all obtained at The University of Georgia. Notable previous positions encompass General Manager at Sterling Jewelers, Campaign Manager for Bobby Saxon for Congress, and various roles in sales training and management within the restaurant and music industries.
