Kim Klug-Miller has a diverse work experience in the field of community partnerships, outreach, and education in museums and heritage organizations. Kim is currently working at Historic Royal Palaces as the Community Partnerships Manager since September 2021. Kim previously held the position of Community Partnerships Producer at the same organization. Before joining Historic Royal Palaces, Kim worked as a Community Outreach Officer at the Museum of Lancashire from August 2010 to October 2011. Kim also served as a Project Coordinator for Sounding Out Your Heritage at Group For Education in Museums (GEM) from November 2009 to July 2010, and as an Administrator at the Association for Heritage Interpretation during the same period. Kim has experience as a Learning Activities Freelancer being self-employed from May 2009 to October 2009. Kim volunteered as a Volunteer Education Assistant at Leeds Art Gallery from October 2008 to April 2009. Prior to that, Kim worked as a Recreation Coordinator at Oglebay Resort & Conference Center from August 2005 to September 2008, and as a Field Executive/Discovery & Dreams Project Aide at Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council from June 2004 to October 2005. Kim has also worked as the Associate Director of Visual Arts at Stifel Fine Arts Center, Oglebay Institute from September 2003 to June 2004. Kim started their career as a KEYS Service Corps Member at AmeriCorps from September 2002 to August 2003.
Kim Klug-Miller began their education journey in 1998 at Shepherd University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Photography and Digital Imaging. Kim successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 2002. In 2005, Kim Klug-Miller pursued non-degree post-graduate studies at West Virginia University, focusing on Art Practice, History of Art, Art Education, and Philosophy of Education. Kim then went on to attend the University of Leeds from 2008 to 2009, where they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Art Gallery and Museum Studies.
