Ricardo Paulo

Ricardo Paulo's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Ricardo started their most recent position as a CIMA Assistant Financial Accountant Apprentice at Historic Royal Palaces in August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Bulb as a Revenue Operations Specialist, where they investigated debt accounts, resolved billing and operational issues, and reviewed accounts stuck in the collections process. Ricardo also worked as an Energy Specialist at Bulb, starting in December 2020.

Before their time at Bulb, Ricardo was a Senior Business Travel Consultant at American Express Global Business Travel, where they provided online travel support for HSBC banking worldwide and the Ministry of Defence UK account. Ricardo also managed online travel policy compliance and reporting.

Prior to that, Ricardo worked as a Customer Sales Consultant at Topdeck Travel and as a Travel Consultant at Flight Centre Travel Group RSA. In these roles, they were responsible for sales, managing accounting procedures, and assisting with sales strategies.

From 2003 to 2007, Ricardo attended Swartland High School and obtained a High School Diploma in Business. In 2009 and 2010, Ricardo studied at Prestige Academy and earned a Foundation degree/BTEC level 5 in Business Administration Management. In 2016, they obtained a Certificate in Logistics, Materials, and Supply Chain Management from the University of Cape Town. Additionally, in the same year, they acquired knowledge in Labor Law from SEESA.

In 2020, Ricardo took a course in Financial Markets at Yale University. In the same year, they completed the Welcome to Codecademy and Learn SQL courses offered by Codecademy.

More recently, from 2022 to 2025, Ricardo attended CIMA and earned a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting (CIMA Cert BA) with a focus on Accounting and Business/Management.

Ricardo also obtained several additional certifications, such as a Certificate in Business Accounting from CIMA in July 2023 and a Financial Markets certification from Coursera in May 2020.
