Claudio Facchin

Claudio Facchin is currently the SVP & Executive Officer, CEO of the Power Grids Business Unit & CEO of Hitachi ABB Power Grids Ltd. at Hitachi. Claudio has held this position since July 2020. Prior to this, they were the Managing Director & CEO of ABB Power Grids in India and Head of the South Asia Region for the Power Grids business from January 2009 to July 2020. In this role, they were responsible for group head and power system front end sales in southern India.

From February 1995 to December 2009, Claudio Facchin was the Sr. Vice President & Country Head Sales & Marketing at ABB in India. In this role, they were responsible for heading sales and marketing for ABB India as well as being a member of the corporate management committee.

Before joining ABB, Claudio Facchin worked as an engineer for GEC Alstom India from August 1988 to January 1995.

Claudio Facchin attended the National Institute of Technology Warangal, where they earned a B.Tech in electrical engineering. Claudio then attended the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where they earned a management degree. After that, they attended the Indian School of Business, where they completed a leadership development program. Finally, they attended IMD, where they completed a management development program.

Their manager is Toshiaki Higashihara, President & CEO. Claudio Facchin works with Norihiro Suzuki - VP, Executive Officer, CTO, & GM, Research & Development Group, Keiji Kojima - President, COO & Director, and Lorena Dellagiovanna - VP & Executive Officer, CDIO, Deputy Chief Environmental Officer.
