Harini Hewa Dewage

Harini Hewa Dewage is an accomplished Energy and Power Systems Researcher at Hitachi since January 2023, and a Working Group Member for the Global E-Mobility Programme at the Global Environment Facility since November 2021, focusing on sustainable electric mobility and grid integration. Previous experience includes serving as Battery Research Lead at M-KOPA Solar, contributing to energy access initiatives across sub-Saharan Africa, and as a Research Associate at Imperial College London, where experimental testing of hydrogen-based redox flow batteries was conducted. Additionally, Harini held roles as a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Consultant at Imperial Consultants, managing projects related to industrial investment and energy storage strategies. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Energy Storage Research and a Master’s in Nanomaterials from Imperial College London, complemented by a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics from King's College London and a French Baccalaureate.
