Karthick Manivannan

Research Director - Signal Processing at Audeze

Karthick Manivannan has worked in various roles since 2002. Starting at Texas A&M University, they worked as a Research Associate Professor, Research Assistant Professor, and Engineering Research Associate. In 2012, they joined Audeze as Research Director - Signal Processing, where they were responsible for delivering advanced signal processing solutions, audio perception, 3D sound, Ambisonics, and perceptually motivated optimization and personalization of audio. At Texas A&M University, their roles included waveform analytics, pattern recognition and expert system techniques, Distribution Fault Anticipation (DFA) technology, and developing software frameworks with a focus on efficiency and cross platform support.

Karthick Manivannan attended PSG College of Technology from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a B.S. in EEE. Karthick then attended Texas A&M University from 1999 to 2012, where they earned a Ph.D. and M.S. in EE. Additionally, they have obtained a number of certifications from Coursera, including Convolutional Neural Networks (November 2017), Structuring Machine Learning Projects (October 2017), Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization (September 2017), and Neural Networks and Deep Learning (August 2017). Karthick is also a Senior Member of the IEEE.
