Alfredo Drago

General Manager Global Signaling - Rail Control at Hitachi Rail

Alfredo Drago has extensive work experience in the rail industry. From 2019, they have been the Head of Global Signaling - Operations Signaling and Turn Key at Hitachi Rail STS. In this role, they are responsible for the design, development, and delivery of vital technologies, as well as managing over 1100 resources and project costs exceeding 600M Euros.

Prior to their current position, Drago held various roles at Ansaldo STS from 2011 to 2019. These include serving as the SVP - Head of Development from 2014 to 2019, SVP Railway and Mass Transit BU - Sales and Delivery for Nordics, East Europe, Turkey, and Africa in 2013, and SVP Delivery from 2011 to 2013.

Earlier in their career, Drago worked at Union Switch and Signal as the Driverless Systems Operations Manager and Sales responsible for Europe, Korean, and Far East from 2006 to 2009.

Alfredo Drago holds a master's degree in Engineering Economic Systems from Stanford University, which they obtained from 1995 to 1996. Prior to that, from 1985 to 1990, they completed their undergraduate studies in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Management, at Università degli Studi di Genova. Additionally, they have earned certifications as a CMMI Associate from the CMMI Institute and as a Certified Agile Leader - Level 1 from the Scrum Alliance, with a focus on Agile leadership.
