Grigore Hangiu

Grigore Hangiu serves as the Chief Information Security Officer for Romania at Hitachi Rail, a position held since June 2024 following the acquisition of Thales Ground Transportation Systems Business Line. Previously, Grigore held the same title at Thales, focusing on the Information Security Management System and ensuring compliance with ISO standards. Experience also includes leadership roles in the Romanian Ministry of National Defense, overseeing a Cyber Security Center and managing various IT security solutions, as well as serving as a Staff Officer in NATO Headquarters and an ICT Advisor in Afghanistan. Grigore's educational background includes a Master's degree in Management of National Security Intelligence from the Romanian National Intelligence Academy and a Bachelor's degree in Management and IT from the Romanian Land Forces Academy.
