Mahesh Mohanan

Mahesh Mohanan is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in engineering roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Hitachi Rail since November 2022, Mahesh leads mechanical work packs for the Onboard Signaling team. Prior to this, as Lead Mechanical Project Engineer at Australian Astronomical Optics – Macquarie from September 2017 to November 2022, Mahesh guided the Hector project, collaborating with multiple institutions on design development and overseeing the spectrograph project from conception to commissioning. Earlier experience includes positions as Lead Mechanical Engineer at BFG International, managing the Queensland railway project, and roles at Maruti Udyog Limited, Mahindra Automotive and Farm Equipment Sectors, and Force Motors Ltd. Mahesh holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Doctor Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University and an Associate’s Degree from the University of Kerala.
