Yasser Omar

Yasser Omar, PhD has over 28 years of work experience in various roles within the telecommunications and transportation industries. Yasser is currently serving as the Head of Global Sales and Special Projects at Hitachi Rail. Previously, they held positions at Alstom and Alstom Transport, where they managed the local branch in Saudi Arabia, handled commercial relationships with clients, and supervised the execution of the Riyadh Metro Project. Prior to that, they worked at Nokia Siemens Networks as the Business Development Director, overseeing railway projects in Saudi Arabia, Levant, and Iran, and managing P&L for multiple projects. Yasser also served as the Head of Strategy and Business Development at Nokia Siemens Networks in Saudi Arabia and as the General Manager of Mobile Networks at Siemens in Saudi Arabia and Syria. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated skills in business development, project management, and team leadership.

Yasser Omar, PhD completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Vienna, from 1987 to 1993.
