Erlend Basmo Ellingsen

Mr. Ellingsen joined HitecVision in 2016, from Statoil (now Equinor) where he held various positions within M&A, business development and strategy in Statoil’s Global Strategy and Business Development division.

At HitecVision Mr. Ellingsen has played a vital role in originating and executing Point Resources’ acquisition of ExxonMobil’s Norwegian operated business in 2017, the merger between Point Resources and Eni Norge to form Vår Energi in 2018, Vår Energi’s acquisition of ExxonMobil non-operated business in 2019, as well as the establishment of NEO Energy and its first acquisition of a portfolio from Total in the UK in 2020. Mr. Ellingsen has also led transactions withing energy infrastructure and renewables, including Sval Energi’s acquisition of the MLK wind farm in Finland in 2020.

Mr. Ellingsen holds an MSc in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, USA.
