Zamabomvu Ngubane

Zamabomvu Ngubane is an experienced social worker and community development professional currently serving as the CSS Team Lead and CSS Social Worker at HIVSA since November 2021. Responsibilities include mentorship and capacity building for community-based organizations implementing the Preventing HIV/AIDS in Vulnerable Populations program and monitoring resource usage. Additionally, since November 2020, Zamabomvu has contributed as a Community Development Volunteer with Community-based Prevention and Empowerment Strategies in South Africa, facilitating a Men’s Forum against gender-based violence. Prior experiences include roles as a student social worker at Autism South Africa, Sparrow FET Enterprises, John Orr Technical High School, and Manguzi Hospital Social Services, focusing on counseling, awareness campaigns, and support group facilitation. Zamabomvu holds an M.A. in Community Development from the University of Johannesburg and a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of the Witwatersrand.
