Chris Nicol is an accomplished electrical engineer with over a decade of experience in the development of collaborative solutions within cross-functional teams. At SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris has transitioned from firmware engineering, where firmware and diagnostic tools for DViT interactive whiteboards were developed, to electrical engineering, currently focusing on hardware development for innovative educational devices. Previous roles include electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and electronics engineer at Grindcom, contributing to control systems for forestry equipment. Additionally, Chris has experience as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting lab instruction and assessment. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
