Jorge Barrero

Jorge Barrero, AIA, LEED AP, serves as Principal, Regional Design Director, and Aviation Practice Leader at HKS, Inc. since March 2016, where responsibilities include developing concept designs, guiding design teams, and engaging with clients to realize project visions. Prior to this role, Barrero was a Senior Associate and Senior Designer at Gensler from May 2005 to February 2016, and held positions as an Adjunct Faculty member at Harrington College of Design from September 2007 to May 2011, an Architectural Designer at Ron Wright & Associates Architects from May 2000 to December 2004, and at MAKERS architecture and urban design, LLP from August 1998 to April 2000. Barrero earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in May 1998.
