Maki Okamoto

Maki Okamoto is a Senior Tax Associate at HLS Global, with a focus on preparing US tax returns and work papers for various entities. Maki leads the Accounting Methods and Credits Services weekly meetings and has experience working with outsource teams in India. Prior to this role, Maki volunteered at the VITA Program at Indiana University, assisting low-income individuals with tax returns. Additional experience includes tutoring at the Kelley School of Business, where Maki supported students in Microsoft Access and Excel, and providing tutoring services for macroeconomics and precalculus. Maki holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Technology Management from Indiana University Bloomington and an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Foothill College. Maki completed high school at Tama High School.
