Jak Gaff

Jak Gaff is an experienced professional currently serving as the Head of Business Change for Unity at HM Revenue & Customs since October 2016. In this role, Jak leads the implementation of strategic HR changes resulting from the Government Shared Services Cluster Programme, ensuring effective change management across tech and non-tech HR initiatives. Previously, Jak acted as Chief of Staff and Head of Business Management to the Director of People Design and Services, overseeing a substantial budget and driving strategic workforce outcomes. As a Programme Change Manager during the Covid Workforce Response, Jak successfully managed the transition of 65,000 colleagues to hybrid working through data-driven strategies. Jak's career commenced as a Recruitment Consultant at Hamlyn Williams, specializing in Corporate Governance for the Banking and Insurance market. Jak holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Leeds and A levels in Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology from Durham School.
