Louis Hsu

Louis Hsu has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Louis started their career as an Assistant System Engineer at the Institute for Information Industry in 1996. Louis then worked as a Quality Assurance Engineer at Inktomi Corporation from 2001 to 2002. After that, they joined Cipherium System Co., Ltd. as a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer from 2004 to 2005. Louis also worked as a Product Manager at Cipherium Systems Co., Ltd. and managed up to 50% ODM accounts for compliances matrix negotiation and final product release in 2005. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Product Assurance Engineer at Chi Mei Communication System.

In 2007, Louis joined HTC where they had several roles. Louis started as a Principal Engineer in the Mobile Application Software Division, where they led the HTC WinMo SDK team and collaborated with RD teams for SDK architecture and release. Louis then became a Senior Assistant Manager in the same division and served as the project owner for the HTC software division outsourcing program. Louis established a secure working environment for outsource engineers and built processes for engagement and evaluation. Later, they became a Technician in the Global Experience Planning Division and contributed to the HTC software development processes and systems. Louis then worked as a Senior Assistant Manager in the Mobile Application Software Division, leading the HTC software SDK team and re-engineering HTC software development processes with the HTC SDK. Louis also coordinated with various teams to implement new CI processes for the Android platform.

In 2016, Louis joined Kii, Inc. as a Project Manager and worked there until 2017. Louis then moved to Wistron in 2017, where they served as a Technical Director and worked on enterprise product development. Louis defined product value propositions, refined system architecture, and managed product prototyping development. Louis also collaborated with RDs and served as a technical contact window to AWS/MSFT for solution clarification and business model discussions.

Currently, Louis Hsu works at HMD Global since 2018 as an Experience Planning Manager. Their responsibilities include collaborating with RD teams from 3rd party solution providers and ODMs to plan and execute HMD signature features. Louis has worked on HMD display enhancements, introducing and improving HMD face recognition solutions on HMD/Nokia products.

Louis Hsu completed a BS in Management Information System from the National Chengchi University between 1990 and 1994. Louis later pursued an MS in Computer Science - Information Networking from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed between 1999 and 2000.
