Angelica Valera

Brought in as HMH’s first-ever proposal coordinator to focus on bid, RFP, RFQ, and RFI efforts, Angelica Valera hails from an editorial design and journalism background. Her passion for editorial design stems from her love for the look and feel of magazines and books. Seeing and feeling the tangible product excites her, as she’s able to take in the combination of visual elements when holding and poring over a publication. Although proposals are more technical documents, they’re still a piece of “art” in her eyes… a powerful marketing tool. If you present yourself or your company visually well, hopefully the intended consumer will resonate with it and attempt to delve more into what you or your company has to offer. She looks forward to helping elevate HMH’s branding to more modern times. Apart from being a published and seasoned publication “producer,” Angelica recently earned an associate certification in project management from the well-known Project Management Institute. Pursuing this was a way of adding onto her skills and applying them to current and future projects. In a way, it provides her a catalyst for following a design management career trajectory.
