Askel Matre

Askel Matre has extensive work experience in the finance field, with a focus on the oil and gas industry. Askel began their career with TOTAL as a Cost Controller, where they managed budgets and contracts. Askel then moved on to Transocean, where they held various roles including Senior Auditor, Project Controller, and Division Controller, overseeing finance and accounting functions for Transocean's Norway Division. At Transocean, they also supported the divestiture of noncore assets and conducted a feasibility study for a shared service center. Matre then joined Aker Solutions as the Senior Director of Finance for their Drilling Technologies Division in North America. During their time there, they demerged the division to create a stand-alone company named MHWirth, where they continued as the Senior Director of Finance. Askel is currently working at MHWirth as the Senior Director of Finance.

Askel Matre pursued higher education, starting with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wyoming, which they completed from 1987 to 1990. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of Phoenix between 2002 and 2004 to further enhance their knowledge and skills in Business Administration and Management, leading him to obtain an MBA degree.
