Adult Basic Education Manager at HAP

Andrea Gerhart has a diverse work experience, beginning in 2003 as the Human Resource Director for Deaton Enterprises, Inc. In 2006, they began working as the Head Teacher for CS Language Institute/UN English Village. In 2009, they became the Education Projects Coordinator for World Relief DuPage/Aurora, and in 2010 they also became an Adjunct English Instructor for the University of Illinois at Chicago. Finally, in 2016, they became the Adult Basic Education Manager and then the Adult Basic Education Coordinator for HAP (Hmong American Partnership).

Andrea Gerhart has a diverse education history. Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) from Geneva College in 1995-1999, majoring in Bible/Biblical Studies with a minor in Spanish. Andrea then completed an Undergraduate Certificate from the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics in 1999-2000, with a focus on Sociolinguistics. In 2009-2010, Andrea earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) from Wheaton College in Intercultural Studies/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. Andrea also attended microtrain, though it is unclear what they studied there. Additionally, Andrea has earned two certifications: Lean Six Sigma Green Belt in November 2016, and Certified ScrumMaster from the Scrum Alliance in October 2016.
