Bert Konings has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Bert has held various leadership roles in companies such as HMS Networks, Gradyent, Yokogawa, Emerson, Valmet Automation, and Shell Nederland Chemie B.V.

Before their time at Emerson, Bert worked at Valmet Automation as an Instrument Consultant, covering industries such as Chemical, Petrochem, Oil & Gas, and Food & Beverage.

Prior to that, they began their career at Shell Nederland Chemie B.V. as an M&R Instrument Engineer.

Bert Konings' education history includes completing various programs and degrees in business administration and management, finance, talent management, marketing, and leadership. In 2020, Bert graduated from the Yokogawa Leadership Academy with a degree in Business Administration and Management in Yokogawa. From 2011 to 2014, Bert attended Washington University in St. Louis, where they pursued the Global Leadership Program (ELP class XIX) with a focus on finance, M&A, talent management, and other related topics. In 2010 to 2011, Bert participated in the Emerson Leadership Program (Europe), specifically the Emerson European Leadership Program (eELP), studying various aspects of the company. In 2009, Bert briefly studied Industrial Strength Marketing at Northwestern University. Finally, from 2004 to 2006, Bert obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Liverpool, specializing in the dilemma of corporate culture, marketing, and change management.
