Liam O'Connor

Liam O'Connor has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Liam is currently working as an Engineering Manager at Hnry since February 2023. Previously, they served as the Development Services Team Leader and Senior Developer at Open Polytechnic of New Zealand from December 2019 to January 2023. Before that, they worked as a Software Developer at Trade Me from November 2013 to October 2019, where they were responsible for the development of the "Super Grid" project. Liam also worked as a Software Developer at Xero from November 2011 to October 2013, where they played a key role in developing the code for the Xero Community Website. Prior to that, they briefly worked as a Freelance Writer at Polymath in 2009, writing articles on technology. In earlier roles, Liam worked as a Content Editor at Firstlight ERA in 2007, a Data Manager at the Ministry of Education (temporary position) in 2007, and a Residential Adviser at Campus Living Villages in 2007. Liam started their career as a Salesperson at Central Park Interactive from January 2003 to December 2004.

Liam O'Connor completed their education at Victoria University of Wellington. Liam obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science during the period of 2010 to 2011. Prior to that, Liam pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and achieved a First Class Honors status from 2003 to 2006.
