Christine Reed

Christine Reed, P.E., is an experienced engineering professional currently serving as Group Director - Engineering at HNTB since April 2022. Previously, Christine held the position of Senior Vice President at Knight E/A, Inc., where management of the Springfield Office was a key responsibility from November 2015 to April 2022. Christine also served as Deputy Secretary at the Illinois Department of Transportation, overseeing daily operations and an annual budget of $7 billion from January to November 2015. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Vice President at Knight E/A, Inc. (November 2011 - December 2014) and various engineering positions at the Illinois Department of Transportation, culminating as Director of Highways/Chief Engineer from March 2000 to October 2011, where management of 16,000 miles of highways and a workforce of 4,500 was central. Christine Reed earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University, graduating in 1988.
