Yongnian Nie

Yongnian Nie, PE, is a skilled structural designer currently employed at Hardesty & Hanover, LLC since November 2021. Previously served as an assistant engineer at the New York State Department of Transportation from March 2018 to December 2021, where responsibilities included supporting engineering duties related to roads, bridges, and airport structures, as well as reviewing plans and recommendations for construction materials. Prior experience includes a structural engineering internship at Thornton Tomasetti and an engineering internship at Central Development Corporation, focusing on drafting, site measurements, and client relations. Yongnian Nie holds a Master of Engineering in Civil Engineering/Structural Engineering from The Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from The City College of New York, and an Associate’s Degree in Civil Engineering from LaGuardia Community College.
