Yasir Jassam

Yasir Jassam, MD MRCP(UK), FRCP(Glasg), FRCP(Lond), FAAN, currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Neurology and Psychiatry at Hoag Memorial Hospital since November 2023 and as the Director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center at Hoag Hospital since March 2021. Prior experience includes roles as Vice Chair and Assistant Professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center, a Clinical Fellow at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, and various positions during residency and internship at institutions such as Tufts Medical Center and Caritas St. Elizabeth's Medical Center. Yasir Jassam has an extensive education background, earning degrees from the University of Baghdad, the University of Edinburgh, Harvard Extension School, and the Royal College of Physicians of the UK, with ongoing certification from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
