Denise Pattyn, CPHR has a diverse and extensive work experience. From 2004 to 2012, they served as the Regional Director - Human Resources at South Eastman Health - Santé Sud Est. Denise then moved on to work as the Regional Director - Human Resources at Southern Health-Santé Sud from 2012 to 2015. In 2015, they started their own consultancy, Pattyn HR Consulting, where they worked as a Senior HR Consultant for a short period of time. Currently, they hold leadership roles at Hockey Canada, starting as the Director of Human Resources from July 2015 to June 2021, then progressing to Vice President of People, Culture, and Inclusion, and currently serving as the Senior Vice President in the same department.

Denise Pattyn, CPHR, has a diverse education history that spans various fields and institutions. In 2015, they obtained the Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) certification from CPHR Alberta. Denise also holds a White Belt in Lean (Six Sigma) from Learning to See (LTS) Consulting, completed in 2012. In 2009, Denise obtained their Certified Human Resources Professional Designation from the Human Resource Institute of Alberta. In 2005, they earned a Certificate in Human Resources Management from Red River College Polytechnic. Furthermore, Denise has pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources and Labour Relations from Athabasca University, although the start and end years are not provided. Recently, in 2020, they completed the Influencer Certificate from the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion.
